Our Top Tips to Enhance Your Piano Journey in the New Year
For a lot of our students, they are returning back to playing the piano after a long and well-deserved Christmas Break!
According to our research and past experiences, we understand how difficult it can be to organise a timetable once school and work are back in full-swing. To overcome this issue, we’ve created a list of exercises which you can implement to help you get your piano journey back on track and ready to go for 2022.
Here’s our list of activities which you could implement into your piano journey:
- Listen to music which inspires you.
- Listen to the piece you are learning.
- Perform the music you are working on to friends or family at home.
- Read the music score and spot the patterns.
- Ask other musicians what they are learning.
- Join a local orchestra – if you are at the level to join. If you are interested in taking part in a group or competition, remember to ask the organiser how the process is run so that you can inform your teacher and mentor.
- Practice your instrument.
To fully experience these activities, we’d highly recommend choosing and implementing at least one to focus on over next few months and notice what difference this has on your piano journey.
It would be useful to share your experience with a piano mentor or teacher as they’ll be able to provide feedback and adjust your learning to match your goals.
Remember that when you are trying out these hacks to look at them little and often but also be patient with yourself. If you wish to know more about these hacks and resources, feel free to take a look around our website or connect with us directly!
